Farcana 2023: A Year in Review

New Releases and Updates
Stars
We unveiled 6 new Stars to the game, each with Axelar-fueled abilities, powerful weaponry, and captivating backstories. The new characters include:
- Muaddi - The One with the Alter Ego
- Diana - The Voice of Billions
- Cerberus - The Watchdog of Mars
- Sherwood - The Leader of the Spectres
- Teacher - The Inspirational Mentor
Each of these Stars falls under one of the 4 roles in Farcana: Frontliner, Tactician, Healer, and Disruptor. The characters you choose affect the roles you play since they are categorized by their roles.
Weapons
We also released an array of weapons for players to choose from. These weapons are divided into categories: action, chaos, tactical, and anti-aim. For now, we have weapons in the first 3 categories. Each weapon has unique stats, including rate of fire, damage, and mag size, that show the gun's capability.
In-Game Features
Some drops and updates were made in-game to enhance the game system, design, and platform. The prominent ones are the arenas — Stadium and Spaceport — where players have to fight for stars in intense 4V4 battles. Other updates include:

- New lobby design

Playtests
In June, we held our first major playtest for users to experience the game and provide valuable feedback. The playtest was a huge success, with hundreds of players participating and giving us valuable insights into how to improve the game. We also held two mini-playtests in October and November, which allowed players to test and brush up their skills and prepare for the Farcana Autumn Tournament.
Farcana Autumn Tournament
The Farcana Autumn Tournament was a highlight of the year, bringing together players worldwide to compete in 4v4 team-based battles. The two-day event was filled with action, with 663 matches played. Players strategized and executed tactics, engaging in intense battles that made every moment count. With a prize pool of $3250 in BTC, players fought tooth and nail for a coveted spot among the top 100 participants each day.
Mars Enigma Vaults NFT Drop
On December 19, we unleashed the highly anticipated Mars Enigma Vaults NFT drop on Opensea. These 777 exclusive vaults, meticulously crafted on Polygon, were snapped up by enthusiasts in record time. The rush to secure these sought-after treasures showcased our vibrant community's incredible enthusiasm and support.
Farcana Token Airdrop Mission
Continuing the momentum, we achieved yet another significant milestone. On December 21, we launched the FAR token airdrop mission campaign. Users have to complete a series of missions to be eligible for the airdrop, which will take place soon. The response was overwhelming, with over 10,000 users participating in the mission within the first 24 hours.
